The mission of the Nebraska Association of Behavioral Health Organizations (NABHO) is to build strong alliances which ensures quality behavioral health services, including substance use and mental health services, are accessible to all Nebraskans. 

Our vision for quality substance use and mental health services to become a central part of accessible healthcare in our state is carried out through our core values which include:

NATIONAL COUNCIL MEMBERSHIP -  Through our association you are a member of the National Council and able to take advantage of discounted rates for their annual conference, webinars and trainings, and updates about what is happening at the federal level.

This week our member spotlight is St. Monicas! St. Monica's Life Changing Recovery for Women has been providing trauma-informed, gender-specific care for women within a home-like environment to empower women combating a variety of problems intertwined with substance use disorders since 1964.

St. Monica's serves women and their children through a variety of programs including Project Mother & Child and their newest program Women Are Sacred. Project Mother & Child is designed for pregnant and parenting mothers while Women Are Sacred is specifically intended for Native American women. Both programs offer individualized treatment that includes assessing children and their needs and including them in the treatment plan. Other programs that St. Monica's provides are Short Term Residential, Therapeutic Community, Next Step Step-Down Housing, Peer Support, and Outpatient.
